FAQ

How does the foot sleeve work?

There are 3 ways that you can wear the feet.

1. For ease of pulling on a wetsuit: Looking at the picture, you can see how it would work. Pull on your ExoStinger as if you were putting on a pair of nylons/stockings, encasing the toes with the hole being on the top of your arch.

The idea is that the wetsuit slides up over the feet, but you still have the option of, after the wetsuit is on, pulling your feet back out of the “footsleeve” and tucking it up under the back ankle of your wetsuit.

Or you can leave the foot sleeve in place.
When diving I simply leave the footsleeve on like “socks”, they help prevent chaffing from my fins.

2. For sports such as surfing, where you need the ball of your foot free, pull them on only encasing the heel.

 3. If you don’t need the foot sleeve at all, you can simply tuck it up around your ankle.

How to Care for my Exostinger:

The ExoStingers are not delicate, nor do they require any special instructions other than the ordinary care of outdoor gear.

  • Wash your ExoStinger before wearing. To prevent fading, soak in 2 cups white vinegar in 4 liters cold water for at least 1 hour, wash as normal with like colours in cold water with a mild detergent. Do not use bleach & avoid abrasive surfaces like Velcro, which will damage your suit.
FOR LONGER LASTING ZIPPER LIFE, RINSE WELL IN CLEAN WATER AFTER USE IN SALT WATER OR SAND
  • Make sure you rinse your ExoStinger out after each use, particularly if you have a zippered one and have been in salt water. If you don’t, the salt could dry on the zipper and could cause it to ‘seize up”.
  • Hang in the shade to dry.
  • Enjoy!
